Annemarie Long McCarthy Coach Graduated 1981 Inducted 1996
Annemarie Long McCarthy participated in three sports each of her four years at Fenwick. She was a standout in track, leading her team to a League and District Team Championship in her senior year. She earned six individual District Championships along with being a State Finals Qualifier all four years. She was State Runner Up in the 440 Yard Dash as well as in the 100 Meter Hurdles. Her accomplishments in track still rate among the top at Fenwick.
Annemarie helped lead her team to four District Championships in basketball as well and in her senior year she was named First Team All League, District 15 All-Star, and Third Team All-State.
Annemarie returned to Fenwick to coach basketball for two seasons, compiling an outstanding record of 35 wins versus 10 losses. She led her 1988-89 team to a League Championshp and was named District 15 Coach of the Year.
