 Chuck was a two sport athlete for Fenwick, lettering two years in football and two years in baseball after transferring from Preble Shawnee High School in 1990. He was a catcher on the baseball team, utilizing his quickness and aggressiveness to provide the basis for a strong team defense. At bat he used his speed to get on base and help manufacture runs for the Falcons. His junior and senior year he was the team captain and received first team All-MML honors.
It was football, though, where Chuck received his highest recognition. He played running back and defensive back, a true two-way player. Chuck had a total of nine interceptions his junior year and added six more his senior year. In his senior year the Falcons went 7-3 in the regular season, made the playoffs, and advanced to the regional finals.
In his junior year Chuck was named to the first team All-MML league and to the first team Division 5 All-Southwest District as a defensive back. He was then selected to the first team Division 5 All-Ohio as a defensive back. In Chuck's senior year he duplicated these accomplishments, repeating as a first team selection to the MML, SW District 5, and All-Ohio honors.
After graduating from Fenwick in 1992 Chuck attended Miami University, graduating with an AS Mechanical Engineering degree. He has worked as a Controls Engineer, Project Engineer, Software Engineer, and Project Manager for Intelligrated Inc(formerly known as The Buschman Company). |
