Amy Elizabeth Timmers Kehoe Graduated 1980 Inducted 2011
Amy was an outstanding three sport scholar-athlete at Fenwick, lettering all 4 years in volleyball & basketball and two years in softball. In basketball Amy was a 4 year starter for the varsity team and played the center position. She was a consistent scorer, aggressive rebounder, and a strong defensive player. In her final two basketball seasons the Falcons won 2 MML league championships, 2 District championships, and were regional runner-up, with a 19-5 record her senior year and first team All-MML honors for Amy. While very successful in basketball, it was in volleyball where Amy really excelled. She was a very good outside hitter and blocker with a great all-around game. The volleyball team won 3 MML league titles & 4 district championships, going undefeated in the regular season her senior year and advancing to the regional finals. Amy served as team captain her senior year and was selected to the first team All-MML three years. Ohio did not have district or state awards for volleyball at that time. Upon graduation from Fenwick, Amy received a volleyball scholarship to attend Western Michigan University to continue her volleyball career. Western Michigan won the Mid-American Conference 3 of her 4 years, playing in the NCAA tournament three times. She was selected to the All-conference team and to the MAC Scholar Athlete team, and was nominated for the Academic All-American team. Amy was inducted into the Western Michigan Hall of Fame in 2009. After graduating from college Amy played at the USVBA Nationals and was honored with first team All-American status. She also played in the Beach-Midwest Pro Tour for 3 years. Amy has been married to husband Steve for 26 years and they live in North Bend, Ohio, just west of Cincinnati. The Kehoes have three children: a daughter, Bryn, who played on St. Ursula Academy's state volleyball championship team & Stanford University's Division I NCAA National Championship team; a son, Steven, who played on St.Xavier's state championship volleyball team & Ohio State's NCAA Division I National Championship team; and their youngest child, son Seth, who graduated from St.Xavier & is a senior at the University of Cincinnati, currently studying International Law in The Hague. Amy has coached volleyball in the Junior Olympic program and won girls USAV Junior National Championships 3 years in a row. She loves to play tennis and is currently helping with the organization of Junior Team Tennis in the Cincinnati area. Amy also serves on the Board of Directors for the Living Hope Transitional Homes.
